National Rail Christmas 2024 Dates. Fresh rail strikes have been announced for christmas eve with the walkout threatening to hit celebrations and travel over the festive weekend. Additionally, there will be an overtime ban across the railways from 18 december until 2 january, which will affect the number of services that can run.
